In this special episode, we examine the age-old question: is it better to buy or lease a car? Tune in for new episodes every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday! Wa…

The driver pays insurance, registration, maintenence and all over operating
expenses (e.g., fuel) when leasing.
What is included in leasing for $250 month. Do you have to pay anything
else?? who pays for plates?on the lease? for insurance on the lease?
bottom line if you keep your debt low and have a great credit score 720+
leasing will be the better deal. Cars are depreciating assets, BTW buying 2
or 3 year old cars with 30k to 45k miles is even a worst financial mistake
because if you take into the the true cost of ownership you will have a
payment higher than the lease and a 100% guarantee ( car note due and
expensive service bill at the same time) situation occur.. Follow this
rule: lease the car and invest the savings (max out your Roth and/or 401k).
This is a long and drawn out explanation. It can possibly be useful to
someone who’s willing to pay attention.
wow!! i think u would make ”water turning into ice” explanation a 3 day
lecture!!!
Buy a well maintained secondhand car, treat it with care, keep driving it
till it dies. Repeat.
Yes because it’s a great idea to dump thousands of dollars into a car and
get absolutely no money back from it. I am 1 year away from paying off my
car that I bought brand new and I am glad that I now have a 10k+ asset
instead of having pissed 10k away leasing it. There’s no doubt buying is
better from a financial point of view. Anyone who can’t see this must have
failed mathematics class in school. If you buy a car you know can last for
10+ years the “payment” for a car over time is significantly cheaper than
leasing and you also own the asset which if you sell it decreases the cost
of owning a car even further. Buying is better. Don’t lease.
There are a lot of comments here stating to buy “used”. This video is
about NEW cars. It is about leasing versus buying. If you want a used
$5000 car, buy the car. A LOT of people like NEW cars. That is where
leasing versus buying comes in. I can make arguments for leasing and I can
make arguments for buying. It is whatever a person’s preference is.
This video was lazy.
Where’s the math guys???
Buying used is the way to go because cars depreciate quickly (specially
luxury cars)
@clearmenser Would you elaborate on that assertion? Because to me, it makes
no sense at all.
I didn’t find this video to be very informative. It seems like it just
tells you what you already know, and offers no short and/or long term total
monetary average cost analysis.
This video was pretty bad guys.
Chuck looks like Kevin Smith…Josh doesn’t look like I expected. I hope my
sentiments are shared by the SYSK army.
Which is better money wise?
You should pick up the paste a hell lot. I got bored after listening to you
for not even 2 minutes…
Why the hell is his hand so white
I believe you can declare the lease on your car in your taxes and receive
the money back…
Thanks for the info guys!
Everybody wins? HA! You wanna hear the REAL way to buy cars? buy USED!!!
I prefer neutral sponsors. Toyota has something to gain, so I’m looking
elsewhere for a comparison of buying -vs- leasing.
I prefer trading firearms and cars for eachother. You never lose. Move to
vermont!
The most valuable part of this video was stated at 1:18. Buy used and with
cash! Buying a new car is a huge drain on your wealth building powers,
leasing is basically for people who are getting a car that they can in no
way afford otherwise.
buy used ! that’s the most cost effective , this channel is for dumb people
.
Buying tends to cost less long term.
Actually the only winner is the loan company. The car owner/leaser is now
driving a hunk of metal that depreciates to nothing in only 4 years. My car
is 11 years old and still running – no plans on getting rid of it. That’s
the equivalient of 3 loan terms (only one of which the loan company got
money from).
But Toyota sells and leases cars, so i have no idea what your qualm would
be, not to mention i’m sure Josh and Chuck didn’t change anything they were
going to say because of the sponsor.
Or japan
Leasing is good, but after a few years buying becomes cheaper.
