The Russian government is forgiving $32 billion of Soviet era debt owed by
the struggling Cuba. The move comes as a part of a South American tour by
President Vladimir Putin, who he is seeking to strengthen economic and
other ties with a bloc countries that feel alienated by the West. RT’s
