Another great cilp on moving towards debt free living. My husband and I
chose to make debt free living our future goal. We chose a 1200 sq ft house
for our 5 person family, didn’t take yearly holidays, have one small used
vehicle, our appliances and furniture were 15 years old (recently replaced
in cash), and so on. My extended family all expressed to us that our
dedication towards debt free living went overboard, because we appeared not
to be LIVING! They were wrong. We were living. We were fully engaged and
present and not distracted or deterred from building our lives up in a
grounded and conscious way. Rather than flitting from one house to the next
biggest, one car to the next newest, one vacation to the next vacation and
trying to ignore the crush of debt, we lived for daily moments, dinners
together, board games, outings, and even meals out. We took the holidays we
could afford to and bought ‘toys’ when the budget allowed. All more
precious for the wait. We never felt deprived and we enjoyed little
financial stress. I add that I am a home maker who homeschools several of
our children. We did this with one working parent. We feel empowered daily
by the sense of control we have over our life and the light of freedom at
the end of the tunnel. Now, at 43 years of age my husband and I are three
months away from debt freedom (including the mortgage). We also have a
small savings, retirement funds, and a small educational fund for each
child. If everyone did what we did economies around the world would be
strong and so would the moral fiber of families!

You and your wife are my inspirations. I too have no debt and getting
ready to homestead, being of German nationality and a jack of all trades.
I am counting down the days for my departure to a real life and freedom.

My husband and I are working on getting out of debt. Our goal is to be debt
free with in three years. Yes it does feel good to get rid of debt and
across it off the list and not have it any more. I look forward to when my
husband gets paid to see what debt we can pay off.
I have heard of Dave Ramsey also. My parents taught me to handle money the
way Dave teaches. I always thought that it was just plain common sense, but
it is not. At age 31 I have never had a car payment (but I own 3) and my
place is paid for in full. I have a mortgage on a piece of land and that is
the extent of my debt. If I hadn’t have bought the land I would be debt
free with money in the bank! It is very doable!
i have another tip to stop going in debt, more for the males out there, get
yourself a nice horny gf/wife, then you wont have to waste money on
hookers! I have never had to pay for a hooker and its saved me thousands
He never mentions what his income stream comes from. A job or advertising
from these goofy videos? Anyone in credit card debt deserves to suffer
because they are stupid. Just use common sense and never use a credit
card! F the banks – keep your money in a credit union.
I don’t want to take away from the video in any way… just wanted to share
a tip with you that I learned from another youtube video that may be
helpful. If you take a bandaid and cut it down to about 3/4 of an inch or
so in size with the cotton portion in the middle and stick that over your
microphone hole it reduces wind noise exponentially. Just thought I would
share… love the videos, you’re doing a great job so thank you for
sharing!
Every day my wife and I would go for a walk to think of ways to make cuts,
to get more money to put against our mortgage. After going nowhere with
that house for years, we paid it off in 2.5 years, and it gave us a huge
down payment for our permanent house, which also ultimately got paid off.

To be fair this guy talks some sense, there are no quick wins. Your biggest
obstacle to get over is your own self control. Once you realise how to
create wealth you’ll never go back to your old ways.
