I got a pony on loan for £20
It’s interesting to hear how it works there because in the UK a loan (which
is what we call a lease) generally works in such way that if you full loan
you take on the vet, livery, farrier etc costs of the horse but there is
nothing paid to the owner, you just take on responsibility for paying for
the care of the horse. A part loan you would pay a little but you wouldn’t
pay board as the owner would still be using the horse so you could pay a
part towards care.
I’m getting a horse from my barn on loan for £40 a week!!! So excited :-)

while it’s my dream to own another horse, we don’t have the money right now
🙁 But I’ve been with my lease horse for about 3 years, and while I had
