The collapse of the dollar is inevitable, but 2017 is quite the early
prediction ~ we’ve not reached any tipping points that might trigger the
collapse just yet … I wonder if its that our trade deficit now exceeds
our GDP, or perhaps the 700+ trillion dollar black hole that is our
derivatives market that warrants such negative speculation, or perhaps that
our Congress has become so dysfunctional that it cannot handle either of
these with any cohesive forethought (expect more debt ceiling,
sequestration and budget continuing resolution nonsense in the near future
leading to a further drop in our AA+ credit rating) … either way, I would
have guessed no earlier than 2025 …

Now for my own prediction, pardon while I play Nostradumbass … economic
crashes have happened in the past, many times to many other countries, so
its not like this will be any sort of precedent ~ but when the US dollar
does collapse, it will bring about a worldwide economic crash leading to a
year or two of global anarchy, resulting in sadly too many deaths, and then
the dollar will be replaced with a different currency … the united states
will likely survive the transition, but it will be changed ~ how much so, I
cannot predict with any accuracy …
sense of humor or a kick in our teeth? you’d think as a nation on the verge
of collapse would be streamlining spending, cutting back politicians
salaries and stop giving large amounts of monies to other countries

The problem is counting Dollars as collateral on a bank balance sheet. It
makes perfect sense if they do think the dollar will dump. It will take
their banking system with it.

So they are going to print rubles to give to the people that have to
exchange their dollars for rubles. And if the dollar crash the goverment is
left holding the bag while the individual gets to keep its rubles. Hmmmmm.

and bigoted. The only thing I took from the first part of this segment was
that Russians have funny names and are stupid…what other full race or

Agreed, education is superior to legislation in many ways. Just takes time,
care, and nerve.
This is going to happen because Washington has wasted,blown or stolen all
the financial reserves and assets. They refuse to make any changes and are
determined to continue on until everything collapses. This was seen by
many, years ago and no one cared then and no one cares now. Russia is not
the only country getting rid of the dollar. A number of banks in France
will not allow new accounts to be opened with dollars. The list is growing
and China is just waiting for the right moment to dump the dollar
permanently. The US public has no confidence in Washington and the world
has no confidence in the dollar. Just keep re electing the same losers year
after year and this is what happens.
